I will definitely try this, maybe as a save for that first skirt.
Kathyconcretenprimroseshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12615278788874155439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6337951114734373140.post-7386135559812624072013-08-09T18:19:41.162-04:002013-08-09T18:19:41.162-04:00I think you did a great job on all three! Take a newish tshirt and cut it across just under the armpit leaving you with a tube, fold it so the right sides are facing and sew it together to make a band, then take it in ( by chopping off one side by about 2 inches to make a snug fit) as it will stretch and leave an inch or so unsewn flip right way out and hand stitch the rest an there you have a waist band (around 4-6 inches tall) then all you have to do to add the skirt is stretch the waistband as you sew to make it as wide as the skirt, then zigzag across the outside of the skirt to join the waistband securely. It's a great technique and may new practise but it's super comfy and if you lose or gain weight (or bloat like I do after dinner) it still fits and is still super comfy!

Follow me

www.angelfairydust.blogspot.com

And like my FB page!

www.facebook.com/angelfairydustrefashionsuk

I am actually uploading the tutorial to this tomorrow :)

LaurenAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04759917675261404360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6337951114734373140.post-67314581656254023272013-08-02T20:42:05.837-04:002013-08-02T20:42:05.837-04:00Really like the third one... I really think that if you were to take apart the pants/skirt... and make the waistband shorter... you would be happier... just ignore the pockets if you must! Or... cut them so they would go inside the skirt portion? Just a thought!Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11744073613012413496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6337951114734373140.post-63975129731924568502013-08-02T15:50:50.301-04:002013-08-02T15:50:50.301-04:00Thanks so much for sharing! I love the process despite some of the failures. I love reading others' refashioning experiences.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6337951114734373140.post-32779850817678193012013-07-27T07:34:20.519-04:002013-07-27T07:34:20.519-04:00Love the skirts especially the last two! they are ...Love the skirts especially the last two! they are adorable. :) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02636960048537267137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6337951114734373140.post-75154411042759697882013-07-25T01:06:48.779-04:002013-07-25T01:06:48.779-04:00I like them a lot!!
