Check out Lit and Laundry's Finished for Friday to see other projects!
I grouted the mosaic that I made in a class: Charcoal grout. Dh made the frame for me out of left over porch skirt spindles.
And here is a preliminary pic of some plant labels I'm making for the landscape project at a local shelter. I'll do a tutorial when I'm done making them. (all 26 with stakes!)
Thanks for looking!

Oh your mosaic came out great! I can't wait to see the post about the plant markers. I have been trying to come up with some ideas for making some for our mint garden.
ReplyDeleteMosaics have been on my list too for a while. I even have a stack of old chipped plates I intend to break and use. *someday* I love how yours turned out! Thanks so much for linking up to Finished for Friday! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove mosaic, I have wanted to try one with broken china..........it's on the list!
ReplyDeleteQue lindo mosaico! Nunca tentei fazer um, quem sabe um dia me animo.
ReplyDeleteBeijos!!!
That's a beautiful mosaic. You have such creative talent! I also like the plant labels. They look like they are ceramic?
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me, Kathy. I hope you do post your flowering shrub (can't remember the name at the moment)
;~)
I've never made a mosaic, but I've always wanted to. I think I"ll have to take a class to get motivated. Yours is beautiful, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteYour mosaic is so beautiful! I like the charcoal grout. Nice choice. I am also anxious to see the tutorial soon. Good for you volunteering at the shelter's garden.
ReplyDeleteKathy, are you going to hang the mosaic? I made one some time ago, but I've just got it leaning against a spare corner in the basement. The dog gone thing is so heavy -- I hesitate to hang it on a wall!
very nice work. Love the mosaic.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the instructions on how to make the plant labels. I may try my hand at them this summer. I love them!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comments on the birds. I'm glas that I found your blog! We have a few things in common, gardening, crafting and the Craft Robo! I have seen many posts of people using their Cricut or the like, but yours is the first for a Robo! My hubby is an electrician, I will have to check out his stash! These are some of the nicest plant markers that Ihave seen! Great tutorial too!
